a little about me.

Homegrown in Atlanta, Giovanni makes both fiction narrative, music video, and documentary works. He enjoys making things that feel personal and weird. Some of his other endeavors include playwriting, theater directing, and learning tennis so he can say he's "learning tennis".

His work won a Southeast Chapter NATAS Student Production award in 2017. Mid-2020, he and his collaborators coordinated an online film showcase with proceeds supporting the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund. Giovanni’s short film, Eat Your Heart Out, was an official selection of the 2021 Atlanta Film Festival. In 2021 he was a selected participant of the Horizon Theater’s 2021 New South Young Playwrights Festival, debuting his short play “Jellyfish Everywhere”. In 2022, his short Leasing Space was a selection of the Atlanta Film Festival. His experimental documentary, King Presley, won the Jury Award in the Kodak 100 Ft Challenge that same year. Most recently, he collaborated with Glass House Collective to direct a scene in their production of “Shel’s Shorts” by Shel Silverstein. While Giovanni’s latest short film “It’s Like a Window” is traveling the film fest circuit, he’s taking time to edit his new experimental documentary.
